Dispute resolution
In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility, upon application, of out-of-court dispute resolution at the regional Celle Bar Association (§ 73 para. 2 no. 3 in conjunction with § 73 para. 5 BRAO) or at the Arbitration Board of the Legal Profession (§ 191f BRAO) at the Federal Bar Association, available online via the website of the Federal Bar Association www.brak.de.

Professional titles / Professional regulations for lawyers

The professional title "Rechtsanwalt" (Attorney-at-law) or "Rechtsanwältin" (Attorney-at-law, female) was awarded to the lawyers working here under German federal law after passing the Second State Examination in Law and a special admission procedure, initially by the Ministry of Justice through the President of the Higher Regional Court of Celle, and, as of 8 September 1998, by the Celle Bar Association due to changes in the law.
They are subject to the following professional regulations in their current versions:
• BRAO – Federal Lawyers’ Act of 01.08.1959 (BGBl. I 1959, 565)
• RVG – Act on the Remuneration of Lawyers of 05.05.2004 (BGBl. I 2004, 718, 788)
• BORA – Professional Code of Conduct for Lawyers as amended on 01.03.2010
• FAO – Specialist Lawyers’ Code as amended on 01.09.2003
• CCBE – Code of Conduct for European Lawyers
• EuRAG – Act on the Activities of European Lawyers in Germany
